What is the cause of your kidney stone?

August 24, 2011

Hypercalcemia causes recurrent kidney stones. Hypercaclemia is where you have too much calcium in your urine or blood. This can be determined by a blood test or 24 hr urine test. Go see a mineral metabolism specialist to find your problem causing your stones and there is medication to stop it. ( idapamide and other meds). My doctor at UT Southwestern is smart and has found my problem.
